A Little About Me

  • I have struggled with anxiety and feeling like I don’t belong.

I was the first woman at Stanford to get a PhD in physics, which meant that I was also a minority in that space. I focused on believing in myself and growing from these experiences.

  • I feel a strong calling to be a role model to inspire young women to be themselves in science.

I’ve focused on learning the skills that I need to serve my broader life mission of inspiring women and girls in STEM. I continue to develop educational tools in my year abroad in Finland where I'm creating a course for women in data science.

  • I write, speak, and perform to make scientific ideas more accessible to everyone.

I wanted others to be inspired by science. That’s why I started public speaking, hosting science TV shows, and blogging as a science communicator.
