I love exploring the world, both at work and in my personal life. I like to experience different cultures through their music, dance, and parts of the landscape that only the locals typically see. My work gives me the opportunity to explore remote areas around the world.

I don’t always remember my neighbor’s names, but I definitely know the names of their cats. And when I go to parties, you might find me hanging with the family dog instead of chatting with the other people there. I've always loved animals, and I’m so glad I found a career where I get to help protect them.

If I wasn't a scientist, I'd love to be a salsa dancer (though it would take a lot more practice on my part!). And even today, if there’s music on, I can't help but start dancing.

I love team sports, like soccer and beach volleyball. There’s something really cool about understanding collaboration, the different roles that people bring, and the invisible connections and forces at work in a team.

I love listening to South American Chamber music. I use music as a tool to explore people, cultures, and ideas. Whenever I travel for work or pleasure, I like listening to the local and traditional favorites.
