People rarely get jobs just because they have a degree in the right field or are qualified. Go to events and conferences, build the confidence to introduce yourself, ask questions, and keep in touch.

I used to shout out answers in class without worrying too much about whether they were right or wrong. It’s ok to try, even if you aren’t sure. In fact, it often helps you learn.

You never know how your skills are going to serve you in your future role. Often, the work you do in a completely different field (in my case, business) may give you an edge in how you solve problems.
